*BBD (best-before date) or DDM (minimum durability date) - Confectionery does not have a use-by date (DLC), but a best-before date (BBD or DDM). A reminder of the regulations: the minimum durability date is a guideline. After this date, the product may lose some of its flavour or nutritional qualities (such as a reduction in vitamin content), but it is not a health hazard. A product may be offered for sale after its minimum durability date has passed. This is not an offence.
