*BBD (best-before date) or minimum durability date - Sweets do not have a use-by date but a best-before date (BBD). A reminder of the regulations: the best-before date is a guide. Once it has passed, the product may lose some of its flavour or nutritional qualities (for example, a reduction in vitamin content), but it is not unsafe to eat. A product may be offered for sale after its best-before date has passed. This is not an offence.
